Introducing the Ayotte Care® Program
Welcome
All of us at Ayotte would like to welcome you into the Ayotte family. As part of our efforts to provide you with the best possible drumming experience, we offer to you, the original customer, our Ayotte Care Program. This is the only 10-year warranty agreement in the drumming industry to protect your musical investments against defects in workmanship and materials.
The Ayotte Care® Program
Ayotte agrees to repair the defective product against workmanship and material flaws as described below:
Drum Finish: The finish and lacquer on your Ayotte drums are warranted against workmanship flaws.
Drum Shells: Ayotte Wood shells are warranted against material defects and ply separation.
Wood Hoops: Ayotte Wood Hoops are guaranteed against material defects and ply separation.
Drum Hardware: Ayotte drum mounting hardware is guaranteed against material defects.
Ayotte warrants any replaced or repaired product or part for ninety (90) days from shipment, or the remainder of the initial warranty period, whichever is longer. The Ayotte Care agreement is not applicable towards Ayotte clothing, drumsticks, straps, drum heads and other accessories. Ayotte Care is void upon tampering of the Ayotte identification badge. In addition, warranty coverage does not apply to damages caused by:
1. Fire, theft, loss, intentional breakage, misuse, negligence, improper operation, and/or alterations, modifications or additions to the product after acceptance.
2. Improper maintenance or repair, including the installation of parts or components that do not conform to the quality and specification of the original product.
3. The instrument being subjected to abnormal strain, abuse, corrosion or exposure to extreme environment (temperature or humidity).
Obtaining Warranty Service
Upon equipment failure, the customer has the option to either contact the local dealer or Ayotte Technical Support (604-736-5411) for assistance. If we are unable to resolve the problem via telephone, the customer then obtains a Return Authorization (RA) number from the Ayotte Technical Support representative and subsequently sends the damaged drum and all broken parts or pieces back to Ayotte prepaid, insured for full value, and packaged appropriately for safe shipment (we recommend shipping the drums in their original boxes or in packaging affording the equal degree of protection as the original packaging). The RA must be clearly displayed on the OUTSIDE of the package as all shipping cartons found otherwise will be refused. Please include a note with your name, a copy of the original receipt, shipping address, phone number and e-mail address (if available), as well as a brief explanation of the nature of the defect.
After receiving the returned product from the customer, Ayotte Technical Support will assess the damage to determine if it originated from manufacturer’s defects in workmanship and materials. If so, Ayotte will perform the necessary repairs at no cost to the customer. However, if the damage is found to be outside of Ayotte Care coverage, the customer will be notified and an estimate will be provided. No work will be performed until the customer acknowledges and approves of the necessary repairs. All returned items (warranty or not) will be shipped back to the customer, at the customer’s expense.
The obligation created by this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective item at Ayotte’s sole discretion.
